Breakaway for the Long Weekend!

Last weekend was our first long weekend we went away this year. I had to get a break from work and shooting weddings each weekend. My getaway spot that we always go to is my father beach house in Pringle Bay. It is one of my favourite spots in the world. I grew up going there every weekend with my family. It always break away to Pringle Bay when I am overworked and want to rest for a few days.


This weekend we spend time with Zani's side of the family. It was pouring with rain over the weekend and we thought by times that the wind will blow the house away. But still we had a lot of fun playing board games and watching movies. Here is a sunset pictures that I took on the Saturday. You can see False Bay and Muizenberg on the other side.

Karm & Anna

Karm and Anna got married in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Green Point and had their reception at the Protea Hotel President in Sea Point. We took some couple/bridal party shots before the wedding started in Seapoint. After the wedding we took some beautiful pictures in Cape Town along Long Street. It was a very experimental, energetic and fun experience shooting in Town at night time. This was the first time that I have experimented with video light at night. I love the results that we achieved that evening in town. Karm & Anna, it was fun dogging cars and running around at night in the city. Hope you like the images.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

The blog was quick for the last week, because I was preparing a images for photography competitions. I am entering a few images for the Fuji Film Awards and the Sarie/Fair Lady/True Love Bride Photographer of the year. But don't worry, there is still a few weddings to be posted on the blog.

Here is one of the images that I have sent in for the Fuji Film Awards. A photographer friend of mine, Jean Pierre Uys, loved this images and said that I must enter it. This picture was taken at Johann & Tanya's wedding a few weeks ago.
